Butterfly Park

Who doesn't love butterflies, right?  The Butterfly Park here is amazing.  It's a beautiful habitat with a big net over it so they don't fly away.  It was a really warm day (you can notice many rosy cheeks). What started as a butterfly observing time ended in a butterfly "rescue" effort, as you can imagine.  See below. :)

Isabelle is like the butterfly whisperer.  She could get any butterfly to land on her.
After a few minutes in the Butterfly Park, we started spotting injured butterflies.
Stevenson kids to the rescue!

Marin was so sweet with the butterflies.  She loved holding and rescuing the hurt ones.
She was so careful not to touch the wings!

Patrick spotted a butterfly floating in the water.  He had a hurt wing. He rescued it, carried it for an hour, and then let it go.  He was so happy.  He said the butterfly didn't want to climb off of him since he rescued him.

Oh, don't you worry....he may be gentle with butterflies, but he still has his rough side!
(Jumps and tricks to prove it!)

Anna wasn't quite sure about holding butterflies at first.
Then, she got the hang of it and she was like a pro!

The yellow butterflies loved Chris!  They were attracted to the yellow on his shoes.
It was hilarious.  They wouldn't leave him alone!

The kids couldn't get enough of the butterflies.

This nice lady at the gift shop wanted her picture taken with the kids.  :)
